The Orchard Opens!
Spring is a busy time at the orchard. Crews are working to prune blueberry bushes and apple trees. Fields are being prepared to receive pumpkin seeds. Asparagus fields are mowed and fertilized as we watch for the first crop to show. Machinery is being greased, oiled and repaired for another season. The store and bakery are cleaned from top to bottom in anticipation of this year's customers. Spring is definitely the time of new beginnings and nowhere is that more apparent than at Montrose Orchards.
Spring Crops:
Asparagus - Mid May harvest begins, lasts 3-4 weeks.
Strawberries - Mid June harvest begins, lasts about 3 weeks.
The Orchard will open for daily business when asparagus is ready for harvest. Dates are not set until we know when the crop will be ready, call us at 810.639.6971 for up to the minute info on opening dates.

New hours for December:
Monday thru Saturday - 10:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday - 12:00pm to 5:00pm
Closing for the season at 3:00pm on December 31.
